Sugar-free Cereal
As a Gen Xer, I love my cereal. However, if you look at the ingredients on our favorite cereals from when we were kids, it's not good stuff. I'm attempting to recreate a healthy version of my favorite sugary sweet cereal but until I figure that out, here's my current go-to breakfast cereal.
Ingredient
You can adjust the ingredients (volume and ingredient) based on your preferences.
- 1/2 cup ground flax seeds
- 3 cups brown rice crisps
- 1 cup pumpkin seeds
- 2 cups rice puffs
- 1 1/2 cups almonds, sliced
- 2 cups unsweetened shredded coconut
- 1 cup sunflower seeds
- 2 cups dried apples, chopped
- 1/2 cup chia seeds
- 1 cup dried raisin or cranberries
Directions
Mix all the ingredients together and store in an airtight container. Be sure to check the expiration date of all your ingredients so you'll know when to compost leftovers.
