Warm Ham and Swiss Baguette Sandwich
I feel ridiculous making a sandwich recipe and yet, it's convenient for me to have a list of all my favorite things to eat in my recipe app so that I don't forget some of my favorites. Hope you like this as much as I do.
Makes 1 large sandwich.
Ingredients
- 4-6 slices of deli ham
- 3 slices Swiss cheese
- 1/2 a baguette
- 1 tablespoon stone ground mustard (or whatever style of mustard you prefer)
- 2 tablespoons salted butter
Directions
- Preheat your oven to 350.
- Slice the baguette in half so that the top and the bottom of the loaf make the top and bottom of the sandwich. You're making one, big sandwich if that helps you visualize it.
- Spread the butter and then mustard evenly on one side of the baguette.
- Lay the ham slices evenly on the bread, followed by the cheese.
- Close the sandwich with the top of the baguette.
- Place the assembled sandwich on a baking sheet and put in the oven for 3-5 minutes.
- Let cool slightly before eating.
